These terms are a draft. They should be reviewed and adapted by a qualified legal professional before NVCS is promoted publicly. Nothing here is a representation that legal compliance has been established.
1. Acceptance of these terms
Creating an account or using National Virtual Car Show (NVCS) means you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Competition Rules and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. NVCS is intended for adults. Members are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure and for all activity on their account.
3. Accounts and usernames
Usernames are unique to each member and may be changed once every 90 days. You may not impersonate another person, business or organization, and you may not select a username that infringes another party's rights. NVCS may reclaim a username that violates these terms.
4. Vehicle submissions
You may submit only vehicles you own or are authorized to represent. Vehicle profiles are reviewed before publication, and NVCS may request additional information, decline a submission, or remove content that cannot be verified. A vehicle profile is a record separate from any competition entry.
5. Competition participation
Official shows are created and administered by NVCS only. Members may not create or operate official shows. Entry into a show is subject to the published rules and to NVCS approval of the entry. NVCS may adjust how a late or disputed entry is handled, but does not move published deadlines after voting begins.
6. Judging, voting and results
Judged awards are decided by the NVCS judge using the published scorecard, and individual scores are not published. People's Choice is decided by member likes under the published voting rules. All results are provisional until confirmed and published by NVCS. Confirmed results may later be corrected for administrative error, with the correction recorded.
7. Fees and payments
No entry fees, memberships, paid voting or donation processing are active on NVCS. No page of this site collects payment. If any paid feature is introduced later, it will be announced and governed by updated published terms before it takes effect.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. By posting, you grant NVCS a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the site and in competition presentation, archives and promotion of the competition. You confirm you have the right to grant that licence for every photograph you upload.
9. Prohibited conduct
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, upload unlawful or sexually explicit material, submit another person's vehicle as your own, attempt to manipulate voting or judging, or attempt to access administrative functions, other members' private data or unpublished competition information.
10. Moderation and enforcement
NVCS may warn, remove content, restrict features, suspend or permanently close an account where these terms or the Community Guidelines are broken. Reports are reviewed individually; a single report does not automatically penalize a member. Members may appeal an enforcement decision through the contact form.
11. Account closure
You may request deletion of your account from Account Settings. Confirmed competition results and Hall of Fame records are preserved so that the archive remains accurate, even after an account is closed.
12. Disclaimers
NVCS is an independent enthusiast organization. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any racing association, sanctioning body or vehicle manufacturer. The service is provided as-is, and NVCS does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
13. Changes to these terms
NVCS may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
