Privacy Policy
How NVCS handles member information. This is a working draft prepared for launch.
This policy is a draft and should be reviewed by a qualified professional, including for any state-specific privacy requirements, before the site is promoted publicly.
What we collect
Account information (email address, password handled by the platform's authentication system), profile information you choose to add (username, display name, profile photo, biography), vehicle information and photographs you upload, competition entries, and messages you send to NVCS.
What is public
Your username, display name, profile photo, biography, approved vehicle profiles, competition history and confirmed awards are public. Nothing else is.
What is never public
Your email address, account identifiers, judging scores, moderation records, reports you submit, administrative notes, unpublished entries and contact messages are never shown on public pages.
How we use information
To operate your account, review and display vehicle profiles, administer shows and awards, respond to messages, and keep the community safe. NVCS does not sell member data.
Photographs and files
Vehicle and profile photographs you upload are stored on the platform's file storage. Uploaded images should not contain personal documents, licence plates you wish to conceal, or images of other people who have not consented.
Cookies and local storage
The platform uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences. NVCS does not currently run advertising or third-party behavioural tracking.
Retention
Account and vehicle records are kept while your account is active. Confirmed competition results, Hall of Fame records and moderation logs are retained after account closure so the archive and enforcement history stay accurate.
Your choices
You can edit or remove your profile details and your vehicles at any time, and you can request deletion of your account from Account Settings. Requests are reviewed and actioned by the administrator.
Age requirement
NVCS is for adults aged 18 and older. Accounts from members who do not meet the age requirement may be closed.
International use
NVCS is operated in the United States and publishes its official schedule in U.S. Eastern Time. Participation from outside the United States is subject to applicable law and the published rules.
Security
Access to member data, judging records, moderation records and administrative functions is restricted on the server. Administrative actions require an administrator account with elevated permissions.

Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent through the contact form, which is delivered to the NVCS administrative inbox.
